The Fondation Carmignac is pleased to announce its patronage in support of the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. This year, our patronage supports a project by Jean-Michel Alberola et Clélia Zernik, L'Invisible - Dans l'oeil de la double hélice (The Invisible – In the eye of the double helix), which is on display at the Château de Chambord until 19 February 2017.
Since 2015, the Tokyo University of the Arts and the École des Beaux Arts de Paris have participated in a multiannual programme that combines artistic training within the two schools and a joint exhibition. Thanks to this unprecedented opportunity, twenty Franco-Japanese students benefit each year from spending several months in pedagogical programme in Japan and France. Last year, this programme ended with a performance-event at the Echigo Tsumari Triennial, well respected in Japan.
This year, after a one-month immersion in a workshop sheltered in one of the rooms of the Château de Chambord, sixteen students from both schools will present the results of their joint training. This programme is also a completely new and stimulating experience for the Chambord domain, where one of the most famous and representative Loire Valley castles listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located, to be transformed, for the period of one season, into a workshop of young artists and in a real laboratory.
