Ayman Baalbaki |1975 , Born in Odeisse, Lebanon

Ayman Baalbaki was born at the start of the Lebanese civil war, in Odeisse, a village situated close to the border with Israel. He fled to Beirut, aged three, and his life would be indelibly marked by this. And so the artist's canvases represent the consequences of conflict, the victims, the destroyed buildings and the anonymous faces of the military. His installations also deal with the themes of war, and in particular, that of displacement.

A painter with a powerful expressive style, Ayman Baalbaki has participated in several group exhibitions and international events in France, Great Britain, Italy, Argentina, Egypt and even in Niger. His work has started to achieve record prices at auction.
