Andres Compagnucci |1966 , Born in La Plata, Argentina

Trained as a designer, Andres Compagnucci focusses on childhood in his work, depicting toys, well-known cartoon characters and naive flower-filled landscapes. The Argentinian artist takes these objects out of context, neutralising the subject in order to denounce their use or uselessness more effectively, and give us a different way of looking at the things we are surrounded by.

A hyperrealist who is obsessed with detail and enjoys using a kitsch colour palette, Andres Compagnucci produces his images using the technique of photorealism. His work is exhibited in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario and he has received several awards in South America.
