Xavier Noiret-Thome |1971 , Born in Charleville-Mézière, France

Xavier Noiret-Thomé began his artistic career in 1990 at the École Régionale des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, before going to study at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Amsterdam in 1996, where he won the "Villa Médicis Hors les Murs" program, awarded to artists and professionals wanting to develop an artistic project. In 1999, the young painter returned to France and set up a studio within the Musée de Pont-Aven. In 2005, he won a year's residency at the French Academy in Rome, at the Villa Medici.

Currently teaching painting at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre in Brussels, Xavier Noiret-Thomé experiments with different methods of painting, drawing on his knowledge, experience and various influences. His work is both figurative and abstract, intense and opaque, and has been the subject of different exhibitions in galleries in Belgium and France.
