Miguel Rothschild |1963 , Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina

A former pupil of the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, Miguel Rothschild arrived in Berlin in 1991 to continue his education under Rebecca Horn, the German artist known for her installations. Miguel Rothschild works using different techniques including photography, drawing and video. Recently, the artist has concentrated on more metaphorical works, piercing photographs that have often been laminated, to reveal new sections. Because of the fragile and transparent materials he uses, the spectator has the impression of being in a light-filled, geometric maze, built in relief.

Currently living in Berlin, the artist returns regularly to Argentina, and exhibits his work in both countries as well as in France and Italy.
