Untitled is a large diptych that brings together all the characteristics of the work of Korean artist Lee Bae.

On two amply-proportioned canvases, the artist creates a perfect alchemy, an essential equilibrium between the only two colours that he uses: a deep coal black for his abstract shapes, and a milky white built up from several layers of acrylic, which are extremely smooth and form the true surface of his works.

These graceful lines are like weightless shadows; without references, they are mental images that the artist repeats on the canvas in a methodical manner, to give them life and reveal the dramatic contrast between lightness and strength.
